


Registration for the Scientific Writing Workshop

Ilia State University is accepting applications for a five-day scientific writing workshop, scheduled for July 7–11 at Iliauni's Kazbegi Base. The program is organized in partnership with the University of California, San Francisco.
The workshop will be conducted by David Otiashvili, Associate Professor at Ilia State University, along with Professors Ali Mirzazadeh and Willi McFarland from the University of California. This program is designed for master's and doctoral students, academic staff, clinicians, and researchers specializing in biomedicine, clinical sciences, psychosocial studies, epidemiology, and public health.
Workshop Objectives
The workshop aims to help participants develop, refine, and prepare scientific papers for publication in international journals. The program features expert-led lectures, interactive discussions, real-time text editing, and personalized mentoring.
Workshop participants will have access to a dedicated AI Mentor designed to help structure and enhance the quality of scientific texts.
Methods of Instruction
The workshop includes the following key components:
- Lectures and discussions on scientific writing techniques;
- Presentations by participants and feedback sessions;
- Editing texts in real time;
- Utilizing the AI Mentor to improve texts;
- Individual consultations and mentoring.
Participation Terms
This workshop is provided free of charge to participants. Transportation between Tbilisi and Kazbegi, accommodation, and meals will be covered by the organizers.
